We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to integrate with a mature, high-performing Agile team to manage, innovate, and elevate consumer facing eCommerce products through the expected product lifecycles. Key aspects of the Senior Product Owner role include product strategy, requirements gathering and documentation, user story writing, cross-functional collaboration, release management, and Agile best practices.
This role requires 6+ years of relevant Product experience.
Information Security Responsibilities
- Awareness on information security measures such as acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, password security
- Understand and report security risks and how they impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
- Understand how data is stored, processed, or transmitted from a Data privacy and protection standpoint
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Director in co-owning and executing the product roadmap.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to inform product vision, strategy, and prioritization.
- Translate product roadmap epics into well-defined product requirements.
- Lead scrum refinement meetings, participate in sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and prioritize them accordingly.
- Document new features to educate internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the production team to improve implementation processes.
- Monitor post-launch product performance and identify areas for future investment.
- Maintain product documentation in Confluence.
- Foster a customer-centric mindset and actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of agile or lean software development methodologies.
- Proven experience in launching software products in collaboration with engineering teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to large groups of stakeholders.
- Hands on experience in managing all stages of the product life cycle.
- Proficiency in prototyping and iterative development.
- Experience with development tracking software tools like Jira.
- Ability to decompose epics into user stories with acceptance criteria and mockups.
- Experience working with cross-functional team members including designers, engineers, and Scrum Masters in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Prior experience running refinement ceremonies and driving stories to meet the definition of ready.
- Familiarity with creating and maintaining product documentation in Confluence.
- Strong prioritization skills to meet squad objectives and sprint goals.
- Responsible for assisting planning releases, co-ordinating sprints and ensuring products align with the company’s vision through effective maintenance of metrics and communicating to product leadership.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience in Agile Scrum methodologies and ceremonies.
- Proven track record of successful product launches and roadmap execution.
- Certification such as certified scrum product owner (CSPO) ,SAFe Product Owner/Product Manger can be beneficial
