PermitFlow’s mission is to streamline and simplify construction permitting in the $1.6 trillion United States construction market. Our software reduces time to permit, supporting permitting end-to-end including permit research, application preparation, submission, and monitoring.
We’ve raised a $31m Series A led by Kleiner Perkins with participation from Initialized Capital, Y Combinator, Felicis Ventures, Altos Ventures, and the founders and executives from Zillow, PlanGrid, Thumbtack, Bluebeam, Uber, Procore, and more.
Our team consists of architects, structural engineers, permitting experts, and workflow software specialists, all who have personally experienced the pain of permitting.
You’re a builder by nature, and an experienced, strategic product operator by training. We’re looking for someone excited to build a new, critical function at PermitFlow. This is a cross-functional role, serving as the connective tissue between our product team and our customer-facing teams.
Product operators will be responsible for delivering the customer and analytical insights that shape our product evolution, driving fully enabled and fully evaluated product releases, and leading operational processes that both “keep the lights on” and help identify improvements in how we serve our customers. We’re looking for someone not afraid to get deep in the weeds of our different operational workflows before re-emerging to take a more strategic point of view on scalable solutions.
You will develop and continuously evolve our ongoing customer listening, product enablement, product release, incident response and operational monitoring processes, and deliver one-time impactful projects as needs are identified. You’ll work both upstream with product to represent the voice of the customer and shape product decisions, as well as downstream with customer facing teams, equipping them to scale rapidly.
Drive continuous improvement to the engagement models between engineering, product, operations, and customer success

Map existing workflows and variations to the core workflow between teams, synthesizing learnings, defining a go-forward standard operating procedure, and working with product / engineering to execute on solutions
Identify opportunities to automate, optimize, and refine processes to help us scale operationally as we continue to expand the scope of our products and the size of our customer base
Develop an end-to-end product rollout plans and project-manage implementation
Track core business metrics related to the product
Earn the trust of your frequent cross-functional collaborators, including operations, customer success, engineering, and product, ensuring their needs are reflected in product and process roadmaps
