As we expand our offerings and explore new markets, the strategic positioning of our products through effective pricing and packaging becomes increasingly vital. We're seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Pricing and Packaging, to lead our efforts in developing competitive pricing and packaging strategies that meet the evolving needs of our customers and support our growth objectives. This role is pivotal in not only shaping and implementing our pricing and packaging strategies but also in crafting the communication strategy to ensure these initiatives are successfully understood and embraced by our customers and internal teams.

Role Overview

The Pricing and Packaging Senior Product Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in defining our pricing and packaging strategies and crafting the communication strategy to effectively convey these initiatives to both customers and internal teams. This multifaceted position demands strategic thinking to navigate the competitive landscape and customer perceptions, alongside analytical skills to improve our market stance and profitability. The ideal candidate will adeptly blend strategy, communication, and execution, collaborating extensively with Pricing, Product, and go-to-market teams to ensure a unified approach to our pricing and packaging efforts.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Strategy Development: Partner closely with our VP, Pricing to bring a strong point of view on innovative pricing and packaging strategies, considering market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer insights.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Sales Operations, and Finance to align pricing strategies with overall business goals. Engage with a dedicated Pricing team to ensure cohesive strategy execution across product lines.
  • Field Enablement: Equip all customer-facing teams with the tools and knowledge to effectively communicate pricing changes and value, including pricing calculators, ROI analyses, and training materials on new pricing strategies and packages.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive market research to understand competitive pricing models, customer valuation of features, and potential barriers to purchase. Utilize findings to inform strategic decisions.
  • Communication and Rollout: Lead the internal and external communication of pricing changes, ensuring transparency and clarity. Work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop materials to support this communication, such as customer and partner emails, FAQs, webpages, and sales training documentation.

Who You Are 

  • 5+ years of proven experience in product marketing, with at least one role in B2B SaaS and with a strong emphasis on pricing and packaging strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong collaboration and project management abilities, capable of leading cross-functional initiatives and building strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience positioning challenging updates and crafting compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to effectively communicate through story-telling and visualization.
  • A deep understanding of the sales process and experience in sales support or enablement.
  • Strong strategic skills and a holistic understanding of go-to-market functions. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce, digital marketing, and/or customer data platforms is a plus.

The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. This role is eligible for benefits, including: medical, dental and vision coverage, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), flexible paid time off and company-paid holidays and a culture of learning that includes a learning allowance and access to a professional coaching service for all employees.

Base Pay Range For US Locations:
$124,000$186,000 USD
