We at sevDesk

As an intuitive cloud accounting software, we empower founders, self-employed individuals, and small business owners to focus on what truly matters. Our product offers them a smart accounting tool to save time in their daily activities. As a company, we aim for excellence, continuously expand our horizons, and strive for daily improvement of our product and our daily work life. In pursuit of these goals, we rely on our strong culture, innovative spirit, and unwavering passion. In the future, we hope to count you among our dedicated team members.

Your mission

Join us to make a significant impact on how tax advisors and their clients work together on sevDesk. Most of our customers come to us with their current tax advisors, so this is a crucial topic for us.

  1. Short-term: You and your team of a designer, accounting expert & engineers are responsible for seamless data transfer between sevDesk and tax advisors' systems (usually DATEV). This involves technical, data, and UX challenges. You'll also collaborate closely with our invoice, bank, and receipt teams, as well as in-house accounting experts, to ensure accurate data.
  2. Mid-term: Ensure tax advisors understand sevDesk’s benefits and set it up correctly for themselves and their clients. You will be the main contact person for our tax-advisor marketing & support team.
  3. Long-term: Rethink collaboration between tax professionals and their clients in a web-enabled world. You will work together with industry experts such as Tobias Diekmann.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

  • Closely work in an empowered product trio with a Product Designer and an Engineering Lead to ship powerful features that meet regulatory standards and solve real user problems.
  • Conduct user research, including interviews with relevant accountants, tax advisors, and sevDesk users to understand their jobs and struggles.
  • Define & monitor KPIs to guide your decisions for maximal customer & business impact.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure a consistent user journey & achieve shared goals.
  • Own the product roadmap & long-term vision for our tax-advisor-platform.

Your qualification:

  • 3-4 years of product development experience, preferably in a customer-centric environment.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and DATEV (optional, we offer extensive training if needed, so a willingness to learn is key).
  • Ability to make data-informed decisions and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Structured & analytical thinking: Even though you'll have support from a dedicated data analyst, working with data is a vital part of your everyday tasks.
  • Strong communication skills in German (B2) for conducting user interviews.

Join us:
Even if you don't tick all the boxes, if you're passionate about accounting, obsessed with customer needs, and want to be part of something significant, we'd love to hear from you!
