About the team

This role will sit on the Homeowner Services team at Angi. This team covers the wide swath of Angi’s most fully-realized consumer marketplace for booking home services. We assist consumers with projects that better their home through our full-service, online platform that sends out expert service providers that do the job on-demand. The experience we own represents the full, integrated flywheel at the core of Angi’s model with a complete data loop that begets high-value customers and the operational capabilities to consistently deliver high-quality service.

About the role

As a Senior Product Manager in the fixed-price (Services) business unit, you will be focused on driving up the rate at which homeowners successfully complete the home services projects that they’ve scheduled directly through Angi. You’ll be joining at an exciting time with the chance to make your mark on the nexus of our marketplace: connecting homeowners and pros. We need the person in this role to have a strong sense of user experience, a pioneering spirit, and a bold approach to iterative learning. In this role you will encounter engaging problem sets that:

  • span multiple platforms and channels of communication (email, SMS, native messaging, phone calls)
  • require you to toggle your perspective between the forces of a two-sided marketplace
  • come with opportunities to capitalize on natural language learning, and
  • are strategically significant to Angi’s future vision

What you'll do

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve the way that our consumers and Services pros connect with one another. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a product roadmap that delivers and iterates on a suite of strategic communications aimed at connecting homeowners with pros throughout their journey: from the moment they schedule a booking to the day of the job. In concert with your peers on the Homeowner Services team, you will collectively drive forward progress on the fully-integrated flywheel that spins with every completed project.

  • Collaborate with design, engineering, business strategy, and peer product teams to identify and prioritize comms-based features that increase the percentage of total bookings that are completed successfully
  • Develop and implement a product roadmap that facilitates homeowner and pro connection via varied communication channels in the moments that count the most towards ensuring a job done well
  • Partner with peer product, engineering, and analytics teams to collect high volumes of unstructured data that can be translated into themes that inform automated, in-product interventions
  • Pair with business counterparts to establish a collaborative, iterative approach to seeking critical product insights wherever upfront technical and time investment can be initially offset with operational approaches
  • Stay close to similar product initiatives and common technologies being developed across Angi to ensure that your team’s work is informed by scalability and shared applications across the organization
  • Analyze and interpret tracked user behaviors and results from A/B testing to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform your product development roadmap
  • Helm a cross-functional project team that regularly ships quality work at a high velocity
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including business partners, internal customers, and cross-functional peers in adjacent product surface areas
  • Stay up-to-date and have a point of view on approaches to cutting edge communication

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on consumer-facing messaging / modes of communication
  • A dual-sided thinker: you have a knack for seeing all sides of a multi-user experience and can thread user needs and business goals into something shared even if they seem at odds
  • Deeply curious: you operate with a sense of urgency and always look for new ways to understand our consumers and create value on their behalf
  • Data-fluent: you use data to solve problems, identify opportunities, and measure impact. You have strong analytical skills and are largely self-sufficient with tools like Looker, Adobe Analytics and Snowflake
  • Biased for action: you make good decisions with incomplete data and are constantly optimizing for learning
  • A bar raiser: you inspire others to bring their A-game and are constantly looking for opportunities for improvement. You don’t accept things “because that is the way we’ve always done it.”
  • An owner: you can seamlessly straddle thinking about both the product and the business - you never say “that is not my job”
  • An influencer: You are able to bring people from different functions together, align them around a goal, and get them excited about achieving it
  • An amazing communicator: You can tell a compelling story, you can make the complex simple, you communicate clearly and concisely and can tailor your message to your audience
  • Execution is in your nature: you routinely deploy your strong project management skills and have a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
