The marketplace teams form the engine that balances the needs of Riders and Drivers to ensure reliable service and income through smart decisions. We focus on driving rides growth by improving user engagement and experiences with our Pricing, Incentives, and Fulfilment solutions and approaches while optimizing for revenue.
YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:
As a Senior Product Manager - Pricing, you will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of pricing models for our ride-hailing services. This high-impact role requires deep expertise in commercial strategy, data analytics, and technical acumen to create robust and scalable pricing systems that address the needs of both B2C (consumer-facing) and B2B (enterprise-focused) segments.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Engineering, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and Legal, to design and optimize pricing models and strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives. Your goal will be to balance user acquisition, retention, profitability, and market competitiveness while addressing the diverse needs of both individual consumers and corporate clients.
- Define Pricing Strategy:
- Develop and own the end-to-end pricing strategy for both B2C (e.g., riders, drivers) and B2B (e.g., enterprise clients, supply partnerships) segments.
- Establish a long-term vision for dynamic pricing, discounts, and promotions to optimize growth, profitability, and market penetration.
- Commercial & Revenue Optimization:
- Analyze market conditions, customer behavior, and competitor pricing to drive competitive pricing models.
- Drive initiatives to improve overall profitability through innovative pricing tactics, balancing user experience with revenue generation.
- Partner with the commercial team to forecast pricing impacts on revenue and margin.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Data Science team to develop machine learning models for real-time, dynamic pricing.
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure pricing algorithms and systems are scalable, efficient, and reliable.
- Partner with Commercial, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to design promotional pricing and discounting strategies that align with growth and retention goals.
- Liaise with Sales and Account Management for B2B-specific pricing strategies that meet enterprise needs.
- Work with other PMs and the design team to ensure high-quality UX around pricing
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leverage data to continuously monitor and optimize pricing effectiveness.
- Conduct pricing experiments (A/B testing) and analysis to validate assumptions and improve performance.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership on pricing trends, customer behavior, and market shifts.
- Customer-Centric Approach:
- Ensure pricing models align with customer value propositions for riders and drivers, ensuring fairness and transparency.
- Incorporate feedback from B2B partners and customers to tailor pricing models for business clients.
- Product Ownership:
- Own the full product lifecycle for pricing systems, from ideation and development to rollout and iteration.
- Set clear roadmaps, manage priorities, and define key metrics for success.
- Ensure continuous alignment of pricing strategies with overall company goals and product vision.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
- 6+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on pricing in a technology-driven environment (preferably in a marketplace, mobility, or e-commerce sector).
- Proven experience managing pricing strategies for both B2C and B2B products.
- Expertise in building and optimizing dynamic pricing models, promotions, and discounting systems with a strong grip on A/B testing.
- Strong track record of driving revenue growth and profitability through innovative pricing solutions.
- Deep knowledge of pricing frameworks, commercial strategies, and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams and have good exposure to product development methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience in managing stakeholders across different departments (e.g., engineering, finance, marketing, and operations).
