About The Team: 

The Product Team at Rubrik is responsible for driving Rubrik’s mission of securing the world’s data by creating products that simplify the complexity of managing cyber resilience across all applications and types of data. We seek to build consumer grade experiences to solve the hardest and most complex enterprise challenges.

The Platform Security Product Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Rubrik base product platforms are secured from corruption or data loss due to cyber-attacks.  Our product stands on a foundation of “Zero Trust Data Management”, as a platform security product manager you will participate in driving the platform security roadmap by harnessing customer insights and competitor/industry data to align with that Zero Trust strategy.  This role focuses on identifying industry trends, gaps, new features, and enhancements that drive security standards and best practices into the platform.  Cyber Security is highly strategic for Rubrik and the Platform Security Product Manager is key to that success.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Own product security for specific area of the Rubrik offering
    • Share responsibility for prioritizing features and roadmap
  • Contribute to the overall security vision and strategy
  • Participate in product risk identification, assessment and resolution prioritization
  • Partner with internal cross-functional stakeholders: InfoSec, Engineering,  User Experience, Sales, Marketing,  Operations, Support  and professional services in product planning and execution
  • Partner with external stakeholders: Customers and ecosystem partners for new product introduction, evangelization as well as feedback & reviews

 Required Skills

  • 3-5  years of Cybersecurity experience in at the following security domains:
    • Zero trust architecture security principles
    • Authentication and authorization (SSO, SAML, OpenID)
    • Data Protection / Storage / Encryption
    • Experience with vulnerability management 
  • Working knowledge of common cybersecurity regulations and certifications
    • E.g. NIST, CISA, OWASP
  • General Product Management Skills
    • Ability to understand define problems, requirements, and high level solutions
    • Define user workflows, feature scope, capabilities, requirements, KPIs and goals
  • Bachelor's degree, cyber security certifications, or commensurate experience

Desired Skills

  • Linux OS operation and security hardening best practices
  • Cybersecurity experience in at the following security domains:
    • Network security (Firewall, ZTNA)
    • Application security 
    • Cloud security best practices
    • Experience with penetration testing
