Metropolis is hiring a

Senior Product Manager, New Verticals

Seattle, United States

The Company
Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company for the real world. Metropolis' computer vision platform enables people to transact in the physical world with even greater ease than we experience online. Today, we are reimagining parking. Because it's important, it's everywhere, and impacts everyone – enabling millions of consumers to just "drive in and drive out" – that's it. Tomorrow, we will power "checkout-free" experiences anywhere you go.

The Role
Metropolis is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own new product initiatives as we grow our presence beyond commercial parking. We’re rapidly expanding into new verticals such as aviation, universities, and event venues, and plan to make every visit remarkable for the millions of parkers who use our diverse network of locations.
Your mission is to drive our product strategy and development in these new verticals. You’ll dig deep into customer needs, propose new solutions, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders (including Design, Engineering, and Sales) to build and deploy new product offerings. Along the way, you’ll identify ways to expand upon our existing AI and computer vision experience so that we are continuously building a scalable platform that can be used across verticals. You’ll join a team focused on our public sector and higher education domains, and your immediate focus will be on aviation.
We are looking for someone with experience in early-stage product development who can lead a structured approach to tackling new business opportunities. You thrive in ambiguous business opportunities where you must think big, but also aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and dig into the details to solve problems quickly.

Responsibilities
· Drive the strategic product vision for key product features and platform capabilities that promote a remarkable user experience, deliver business results, and accrue value to the platform
· Own product roadmaps, communicate and manage deadlines, and contribute to the vision of the larger product ecosystem
· Lead agile product development using data, feedback from the field, interviews with users and experts, competitive analysis, and qualitative and quantitative research
· Design clear requirements and success metrics to align, drive, and measure teamwork efforts
· Conduct user acceptance testing and collaborate on QA processes to ensure successful product rollouts
· Identify, track, and solve for issues, bugs, and obstacles impacting our success
· Understand and decompose complex problems into manageable components
· Build strong relationships with engineers, operations, customers, and executives to lead development efforts, gather feedback, drive adoption, and measure our success

Requirements and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or related experience
· 5+ years of product management experience
· Experience owning early-stage/greenfield product initiatives with measurable business impact
· Strong user empathy and experience interacting directly with customers to understand their needs
· Knowledge of machine learning and AI techniques is a plus
· Experience with third-party technical integrations is a plus
· Superior written and verbal communication skills
· Entrepreneurial drive and ability to thrive in open-ended environments
· Positive, open, and team-oriented approach to work
· High attention to detail
· Ability to identify, assess, and prioritize trade-offs
· Willingness to travel occasionally

When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $170,000.00 to 195,000.00 annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
