Senior Product Manager - MarTech

About the Role:

The Skyscanner product team is looking for a dynamic product leader for the role of Senior Product Manager - Marketing Technology, managing the product backlog of marketing performance and user data for two high-performing squads. This is a critical and highly visible role in the company. 
 
Our goal is to ensure that we provide great pricing, deals and a delightful experience to travellers. We use creative strategies and data-driven techniques to ensure that we are providing a relevant message to our users on and off Skyscanner. This requires us to make timely decisions based on a treasure trove of data for our millions of users.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Enhancing the way that Skyscanner can serve travellers with greater personalisation, through building the platform that tracks identity, manages compliance, and the user record to enable effective, robust, and compliant data and tracking that builds and maintains traveller trust
  • Craft data product requirements working closely with a cross-functional team of product, engineering, marketing, data science, and run product roadmap execution fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
  • Help build and maintain user, keyword, hotels and cars marketing performance databases
  • Help build a data framework for tracking the flow of users through the Skyscanner website
  • Identify real-time partner interaction opportunities and drive strategy, roadmap, and features
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), regularly assessing the performance against these and changing course to improve financial success, if needed
  • Write SQL queries to pull data and metrics
  • Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and modelling for investigation, data validation, and quantification of business impact 
  • Overseeing the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality product

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in product development/product management, preferably in a senior role
  • An undergraduate degree in engineering, mathematics, finance, MBA or equivalent experience 
  • Ability to conceptualise business problems and solving them through data analysis 
  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to prioritise and deliver on multiple threads of work in a dynamic constantly changing environment 
  • Strong personal work ethic, including personal initiative and ownership 
  • Sufficient technical background to effectively work with the engineering team 
  • Knowledge of advanced data mining and analytic methods. Hands on experience with SQL, R, Python, Spark or equivalent data analysis tools 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior management, peers and team members 
  • Can perform autonomously with little to no supervision and take on ambigious problems
