INEOS Automotive – Grenadier – Built On Purpose

Story so far

Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe announced Project Grenadier in 2017, our team at INEOS Automotive has grown rapidly. From a start-up to the scaled business we are now, we’ve hit some huge milestones along the way. Despite some global challenges, we brought our first vehicle, the INEOS Grenadier, from a vision to prototype and to market in just five years. And now, as the first customer deliveries of our INEOS Grenadier have begun, we look to the future with our first all-electric vehicle.

People and Culture

With around 1500 employees, 10 locations and 44 nationalities, we’re an international team working together to challenge the ordinary. We welcome people who mirror our values: Spirit of ownership, who take responsibility and make things happen. Delivering quality work, with ambition to deliver outstanding results and who have a community mindset, believing together everyone achieves more. Creativity and initiative are encouraged to support your career development.

We’re doing things differently.

If this sounds like you, let’s talk.

Senior Product Manager

The Senior Product Manager role is the crucial interface between regional and central functions for all product related topics. Acting as the voice of the customer for the USMCA region, ensuring that regional customer requirements are met and the most competitive, profitable and healthy product strategy is implemented.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the central product and engineering teams to reflect the needs of the individual Americas markets in pre-launch, post-launch and lifecycle planning phases. This is a crucial role holding the responsibility to develop and deploy a 360-degree product strategy for the Grenadier (and future INEOS vehicle lines) from inception to launch and across the entire vehicle, trim, feature, accessory, service and aftermarket offerings. The Senior Product Manager will work closely with senior stakeholders in the Americas region and globally.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Create, evolve and manage regional product strategy for all markets across the USMCA Region
  • Proactively drive regional requirements into central mid- and long-term product planning strategy, ensuring clear communication of regional dynamics, developments and opportunities are considered and reflected
  • Act as the regional owner for all product topics, regularly conversing with, listening to and obtaining the counsel of the retailer network and regional business management teams
  • Competitor benchmarking; report on specification, pricing and strategies in all markets across the Region, in close cooperation with regional business managers
  • Calculation/preparation of business cases for USMCA specific product needs for further assessment of wider commercial and engineering teams.
  • Create regional training programmes and documentation that effectively educate the entire regional retailer and business management teams on all aspects of INEOS products
  • Own regional industry data sources – such as IHS – to monitor and create predictions on industry developments and opportunities
  • Work closely with the Marketing communications team on campaigns and partnerships to increase product awareness and demonstrate technical capabilities
  • Be accountable for understanding, tracking and communication of Certification and Homologation requirements, developments in taxation (e.g. CO2 penalties) as well as technical and regulatory developments in the Americas markets.

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience in product management or equivalent automotive based role with a Manufacturer / OEM, ideally with experience interacting with various markets
  • Understanding of and experience with regulatory issues across the Region
  • Experience working at both strategic and operational levels
  • Familiarity and confidence collaborating with a multitude of stakeholders, including retail network and dealer
  • Experience in agency/supplier management essential
  • Evidence of working with multiple markets/regions would be beneficial
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility and resilience – the fast-paced ‘start-up’ environment isn’t for everyone…
