Deliveroo is hiring a

Senior Product Manager, Homepage

Greater London, United Kingdom

Product Management at Deliveroo takes many forms, and involves many facets. We’re a consumer-facing brand, with websites and mobile apps which help customers find great quality food which can be brought to them to satisfy their needs any time day or night. We’re a logistics company, directing a fleet of drivers around major cities across the globe using a dedicated native app. We’re a partner to restaurants, who see us as a way to unlock access to new customers and thus maximise the revenue of their existing business. And we’re a home for numerous internal teams building internally facing tools for Marketing, Promotions, Care, finance, and others, to keep the operation running effectively.

Life as a product manager can mean working in any or all of these areas, in order to deliver value to customers, drivers, and partners. Day to day, you’ll tackle new, interesting business problems, and find innovative, creative ways to solve them. We’re seeking brilliant and motivated Product Managers to help us keep moving things forward.

Mission

The Homepage of Deliveroo has been around since we launched. It’s gone through a number of changes as our business has scaled, first within the restaurant vertical and more recently as we have moved into new verticals such as Grocery and Retail. The first page that all user’s arrive on, it’s a key part of our product; it’s job is to solve for the variety of needs our customers have when opening the app, as well as balancing a number of complex business needs.

It’s an exciting time to join the team. We’ve invested heavily in our core infrastructure recently and are now looking to rapidly evolve the Consumer experience over the next 12 - 24 months. We’re looking for someone who is customer obsessed and really thinks customer first, but at the same time, relishes the challenge of complex problems and balancing multiple objectives (and stakeholders!). They are going to be responsible for driving forward the next phase of evolution for our Homepage, working closely with other teams working in and around the space.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deeply understanding our consumer needs - putting yourself in a variety of different users shoes to create a product that truly delights
  • Using a combination of data analysis and user research to identify pain points, opportunities and validate hypotheses
  • Working closely with designers and evolving the in-app experience to solve our customers needs
  • Working with all our markets to ensure our product is as hyperlocal as possible
  • Motivating the team and aligning stakeholders around your goals and roadmap
  • Drive demonstrable user and commercial impact through your products, collaborating with stakeholders across the business to identify and understand opportunities

Requirements

  • A record of defining and building exceptional products that exceed customer expectations and support commercial goals
  • Comfortable managing a broad set of stakeholders with ability to influence across all levels of an organisation
  • Data-driven with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A record of success partnering with engineers, product designers and data scientists to tackle ambiguous problems
  • You have overseen and supported dedicated teams and led product prioritisation, developed roadmaps and launched a number of product iterations at scale
  • A track record of running experiments
  • Can develop a longer term product vision and get alignment behind it, while also willing to be scrappy and demonstrating a hunger to move quickly
  • You are highly detail-oriented and thrive in an environment where user experience is paramount
  • Preferably (not essential) someone with a technical background or comfortable working closely with engineers in a technical environment, either software engineering or machine learning
