On the Guide team, we use ML and AI to take the work out of getting to the right care. We are looking for a Product Manager to deliver magical, consumer grade ML and AI-powered products to our members, so that they can get answers to some of the toughest questions in healthcare – such as cost, coverage, and more – more easily and quickly.
In this role, you might solve challenging problems such as:
- How do we make it easy and fast for members to get answers to their healthcare questions, such as understanding how their plan works, how much care costs, and how to deal with unexpected bills?
- How do we integrate AI into both conversational and non-conversational experiences?
- How do we build trust with members while empowering them to answer their own questions and resolve their own needs? What is important when building an AI experience to maintain member trust?
- How do we decide the right moments to connect members to clinical care or care coordination?
- How do we deepen our understanding of the member, so we can deliver hyper-tailored care at scale?How can we apply conversational AI to support members with clinical needs?

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for both existing and yet-to-be-developed products and features.
- Work closely with design, engineering, data science, clinicians and other cross-functional partners to prioritize features and ship products across the full product lifecycle from idea, research, design, specification, metrics definition, development, launch and beyond.
- Partner with data science to determine when and how to use ML and AI in our products, develop robust models that meet member needs, and deliver member experiences that build member trust and resolve their needs.
- Understand and analyze user/customer needs deeply using both quantitative and qualitative tactics.
- Partner with go-to-market teams to design and prioritize solutions that simultaneously address member problems, increase healthcare access, and reduce costs for members and customers.
- Create and implement measures to help quantify and optimize the impact on members and customers. Use these measures to help the team prioritize their work.
- Develop expertise in how the healthcare system works and become an authority both internally and to customers for how to tackle key problems members face
- Collaborate with other product managers to deliver cohesive, robust experiences.

Qualifications:
- You have 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a strong track record of delivering high-impact software products throughout the lifecycle.
- You have successfully launched products to a large number of users and have iterated based on feedback and data.
- You possess excellent analytical skills and experience defining and measuring product metrics, and experience with designing and running A/B tests when rolling out features.
- You have previous experience in ML and statistics fundamentals
- You have experience building ML-powered products, including doing human and automated eval, deciding whether or not to use ML, and how to bring ML solutions to users in ways that build trust and solve their needs.
- You’re curious about Generative AI and LLMs, and have a healthy balance of both excitement and skepticism
- You’re creative and love pushing teams to solve problems in ways that push the needle of what’s possible
- You have deep empathy for users, and keep the patient and their needs at the center of the product.
- You have a track record of wrestling with complex problems to develop simple and user-friendly solutions, and have deep intuition about user experience and what makes a product experience great.
- You possess excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- You have previous experience in consumer technology (but prior healthcare experience is not required!)

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:
- Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.
- Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.
- No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required.
- Ability to interact with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.
The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:
Zone A: 128,130 - 180,990 + equity + benefits
Zone B: 147,350 - 208,139 + equity + benefits
Zone C: 160,163 - 226,238 + equity + benefits
Zone D: 166,569 - 235,287 + equity + benefits

Starting base salary for the successful candidate will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include, but not limited to, education; training; skill set; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; business needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and alignment with geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and competitive compensation based on their roles and locations.
