What you’ll be doing:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the platform efforts and the products from a technical and consumer perspective. Understand the various user personas and technical components, which can deliver a personalized experience to the consumer.
- Collaborate with the Director of Product and other managers to review and prioritize product roadmap delivery.
- Oversee the Personalization roadmap, covering multiple product verticals such as Insurance, Loans, and Credit Cards on both web and mobile platforms.
- Utilize data insights on consumer engagement and related metrics to contribute to the roadmap and enhance the overall consumer experience.
- Map data requirements across Experian business units to support consumer experience and product goals, overseeing data flow, system integration, and outlining end-to-end expected behavior.
- Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead and technology team to define consumer scenarios and the required data and calculations.
- Manage the product feature backlog, guide development, lead product release planning, prioritize the backlog, define user stories, oversee ticket review, and manage deployment.
- Define product and business requirements for new product capabilities and major enhancements, including functional and non-functional specifications.
- Understand technical aspects of data sources and systems to enhance personalized consumer experiences.
- Work with User Experience and Product Design teams to create detailed UX and design requirements.
- Engage with cross-functional teams and ensure Marketplace features are launched on various consumer experiences.
- Make decisions on trade-offs between features, resources, and timelines, and communicate these changes effectively to stakeholders.
- Ensure products meet optimal user experiences and quality standards across all customer touchpoints, including web, mobile apps, and notifications.
- Coordinate with Technology teams on product implementation plans and deployments.
- Manage the product development lifecycle alongside Project Managers and Engineers to ensure timely, high-quality releases.
- Establish operational standards and procedures for product management in collaboration with operations teams.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and Development Managers to adopt Agile processes and tools, supporting product requirements, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and ticket creation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant product experience in the mobile, internet, software, ecommerce, financial services.
- 5+ years of experience with new product planning and delivery, from concept to feasibility to development and launch
- Must have experience with key product management functions, including writing requirements/user stories, creating mocks/wireframes, market research, competitive analysis, product planning and reporting.
- Must be metrics and results driven. Experience with A/B testing, and web analytics tools is a plus.
- Experience in defining and developing products to meet customer requirements from inception to launch.
- Experience with current web and app design trends and techniques (e.g. mobile first, responsive/adaptive design).
Additional Preferred Experience
- Extensive experience building systems for financial services or tightly regulated businesses.
- Mass-market retail online consumer product experience
- Security and privacy compliance (GPDR, CCPA, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, etc.) experience a plus
