Senior Product Manager

Our Product Managers (PMs) have ownership over product optimizations and features, from independently run experiments to major product decisions. Backed by strong analytical skills and business acumen, and inspired by access to senior leadership and transparency into how they make product decisions, our PMs develop insights that lead to new product ideas and Duolingo’s next beloved feature.

About the role...

We’re looking for a founding member of the newly formed India Growth team. Your role will be to rapidly expand our user base in India by delivering product features. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape growth strategies, identify and resolve retention and engagement problems for our learners in India who are mainly learning English. Join us to make a significant impact on Duolingo’s key business metric DAU in one of our most important markets.

  You will...

• Be responsible for growing DAUs in India through market-specific strategies and initiatives
• Drive product features through their entire creative cycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration
• Establish the strategy for India user growth, and build alignment across product teams, cross-functional partners, and leadership team
• Perform qualitative and quantitative research to explore and validate feature ideas
• Work with engineers to help guide feature development
• Perform experiment analysis on features and find opportunities for optimization

  You have...

• Proven track record of achieving rapid user growth in India for a consumer-facing app with a global user base
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in product management
• A desire to make the world a better place through technology and education
• Demonstrated self-direction while navigating ambiguity in fast-paced, evolving projects
• Ability to apply user insights, data, and statistical analyses to inform decisions
• An instinct for creating simple and intuitive user experiences
• Demonstrated ability to be resourceful, curious, and innovative

  Requirements...

• Experience leading projects and teams
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Design, or equivalent
• Ability to work from or relocate to Bangalore, India
