The Product organization drives consumer product and commercial product innovation and development for Visa in China. The group identifies, prioritizes, and builds alliances and solutions for new products, platforms and market segment penetration.
The Issuing Solution team is part of the Visa Product in China. This team’s primary focus is to design and develop Visa’s loyalty, features and benefits capabilities into digital platforms and end-to-end consumer mobile experiences that will drive clients’ preference for Visa as a strategic partner and enabler of superior value propositions for the digitally enabled consumers.
What a Senior Product Manager, Consumer Solutions does at Visa:
- Leverage payment card and digital payment knowledge to drive Visa core business growth. Act as a subject matter expert to put together Visa's consumer insights, technology infrastructure and partnerships to develop and implement product solutions.
- Engage and manage relationship with key industry players (including strategic partners, merchants and suppliers) to create Visa’s competitive product solutions and forward thinking.
- Grasp the knowledge of major Visa consumer solutions and act as the primary subject matter expert to support senior business leader CRM colleague in day-to-day interaction with clients, understand clients’ business insights, identify potential business opportunities, and provide in depth analysis and consultancy in product enhancement to help drive the business goals including CIF (card in force) and transaction volume etc.
- Lead and deliver annual strategic projects. Regularly align with key stakeholders of key working streams of strategic projects to ensure the smooth communication, identify sales lead and convert to deal (IDDEA), assist going through the fiscal approval process, onboard merchant partner/supplier if necessary, develop the privilege mechanism, review the UI/UX communication collaterals, collaborate with internal security assessment team on code review and penetration test for new function/system if applicable, signing the contract, user testing and finally launch.
- Lead internal functional teams and coordinate external stakeholders (e.g. promotional partners / suppliers) to develop and implement different projects to deliver product privilege platform every year. Manage the privileges’ daily operation and afterwards reiteration, including the offer promotion via Visa and issuing banks’ channel, usage monitoring, UI/UX and user journey enhancement, anti-fraud solution etc.
- Deep dive into VisaNet data and conduct comprehensive analysis from proper channels with critical thinking capabilities to understand the consumer insights and generate business intelligence reports used for client deep dive analysis and discover opportunities to assist sales teams in country.
- Collaborate with sales teams to build relationships with client and business contacts, 10% domestic travel required.
- Support business processes required for loyalty product operations including but not limited to business contracts, revenue booking, award amount reconciliation, etc.
- Participate in other strategic project work streams in agile model when required.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will implement and manage Product digital/loyalty platform modules for Visa’s top clients across various customer segments. In this role, you will be highly collaborative with different stakeholders from both external (such as Visa’s clients and strategic partners) and internal (such as Customer Relationship Management team, Marketing team and AP Product team etc.), and be the key interface between our solutions’ business users and suppliers/partners. You will work in a strong team environment, developing end-to-end solutions and services.
This role usually has acumen business sense & data mining skills & communication skills to understand Visa and other key players capability, find Visa’s value-adding opportunities, identify what solution could fulfil clients’ business needs, to support CRM team to engage client with proper solutions, and then integrate internal and external resource to implement the solutions properly with strong project management skills. It is very important to help drive both Visa’s and client’s business growth.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
What you will need:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree
- 10+ years working experience in payment and banking industry
- Good knowledge of card payment & processing, digital payment and e-commerce industry
- Proven business client-facing experience in financial industry
- Proven consumer-facing digital project implementation and operationmanagement experience
- Excellent bi-lingual (English & Mandarin) written, verbal and presentation skills, Cantonese is a plus
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- In-depth technical or product experience in consumer promotion campaign management, loyalty system, rewards system, membership program, and
- eCommerce payment with a background in Internet, credit card issuing bank or related areas
- Good knowledge of human centered design principles, web-based programming & WeChat mini program development, familiar with REST APIs, and relational database technology. (Note this is not a developer role, but foundational knowledge is necessary)
- Basic understanding of Web Security: SSL, HTTPS, Hash algorithms, PCI DSS
- Strong collaborative working style to work in a global team environment
- Strong organization and negotiation skills and follow up with business leaders, clients and partners
