Job Description
If you have ever thought: “I want to deliver the whole pie, not just a slice”, this is the role for you. This role is a chance to break out of “one lane” training and deliver a comprehensive content program to your learner. The Training Specialist will take Tekion to the next level, as this company rides the rocket ship you will be instrumental in translating the industry, product, and process knowledge we have to our newest Tekionites. This role is open for the Parts/Service (Fixed) specialty.
Key Responsibilities

Understand the areas of opportunities in Implementation and Partner Success to develop strategies, asynchronous learning, and assessments.
- Evaluate the outcome of training sessions.
- Prioritize training based on impact to implementations, support, and company key objectives.
- Work closely with internal teams to create both weekly and long-term training material, assessments, and scenario role-play for internal applications and processes.
- Develop cross-functional training programs for all Tekionites to improve tool usage and utilization.
- Develop strategies and deliver training for key inter-department initiatives including more consistent process, documentation approach, and hand-off processes.
- Help track and report progress across the company for key initiatives related to process and tool usage
- Design, develop and revise instructional strategies and learning materials using effective principles of adult learning theory and evaluation data and validate all components.
- Deliver asynchronous and synchronous learning on process & internal tools.
- Leverage a blended learning environment to maximize learning potential and results.
- Will work closely with the teams to ensure training materials are created, updated, and delivered to meet key business needs.
- Understand the Tekion Implementation Process, identify issues that training can be created to improve team performance and communication.
- Create weekly learnings around processes or skills in live or eLearning formats.
- Participate in formal and informal assessments of learners.
- Provide coaching support to team members to ensure consistency of learner skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate training records and notes to be used in learner coaching.
- Responsible for staying current on company processes & product updates.
- Create and deliver weekly reports on learners’ progress.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Skills and Experience
-
5+ years of training experience (both in delivery and instructional material design)
- 3+ years of content creation using eLearning authoring tools
- Ability to provide training in a live-in person or virtual format
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, education, or related field
- LMS (Learning Management System) administration

- Crucial Conversations or related Certification
- Building training in Articulate
- Automotive software implementation and support experience

The salary range for this position is $77,120 - $130,400. The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position is also eligible for a bonus whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance.The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. In addition to the compensation listed, this position is eligible for equity compensation.
