The Design Team at SEEK is made up of 60+ professionals including UX and Product design, Visual design, Research, Design Systems, Specialisms and Operations. About The Role

We are looking for a senior member with research, discovery, design and delivery experience. At SEEK this level is called a Senior Product Designer, but the equivalent roles in Kuala Lumpur, could be product design lead or design principal. Even though the titles may be different, the salary and benefits will reflect a lead or principal level of expertise and experience.

Our Product Designers are specialist practitioners that can act with some autonomy in their assigned squads and collaborate with others to drive both the products and practice forward. They create innovative solutions for products through their knowledge of interaction design, research and insights as well as prototypes and development.

This new hybrid-mode role is based in Kuala Lumpur and forms part of our Online Identity team, a division that partners closely with many of our other teams. Together these teams form a diverse group of product domain specialists, distributed across our APAC locations that support the online identity of candidates and hirer, log-in experiences and security of our platforms. Our new Online Identity designer will join a community of designers making an impact on the lives of some 40M job seekers that visit our websites and apps each month. They will be solving design problems ‘at scale’ on our globalised digital platforms that span 8 countries across Asia-Pacific via our SEEK, Jobstreet and JobsDB brands.

The role reports into the Product Design Lead – Profile, Apply & Online Identity group and will work closely with other designers in the team. The designer will also work within a multi-functional squad of Online Identity product managers, engineers, analysts, and delivery experts.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the user experience design and research activities within their assigned squad
• Advocates for the user and conducts research that delivers actionable insights for their squad
• Collaborates with the Product Manager, Tech Lead and other designers to shape product solutions
• Create designs for agreed problems and solutions and contribute to the process from ideation to execution
• Understands outcomes and success metrics, and continuously iterates on solutions where required
• Facilitates a collaborative and transparent design process within their team
• Communicates insights, issues, and solutions effectively
• Contribute to vision work and other broader pieces in their Domain where required
• Participates in initiatives that contribute to the evolution of the Design Team practice
• Uses BRAID and Design System tooling

Essential experience

• 5+ years experience specialising in website user experience design
• Proven track record and able to advocate for user needs, that has shown strong influence in technical teams.
• Experience mapping and interaction design
• Conducting user research activities and reporting on findings
• Ideation through wireframing and prototyping to explore problem and solution spaces
• Expertise with product design tools such as Figma

Other

• Ability to synthesize data from many sources into coherent design solutions
• Experience in prioritisation and trade-off discussions
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of authentication and security trends and concepts is desirable
