Position overview
Diligent is looking for a creative and versatile Senior Product Designer to join our Design Systems team. You’ll be part of a team that designs experiences which change the way organizations are run, empowering leaders to make better decisions for them – and the world.
Your role:
Closely collaborate with a team of product designers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to push our Atlas design system forward while adhering to the highest standards. This is an ideal role for a systems thinker who can help to expand our design system and guide product teams as they use it to create experiences that enable transparency and connectivity across organizations – sparking insights the most influential organizations need to make better decisions.
What you’ll be contributing
- From discovery to delivery, you’ll steer the entire design process, utilizing your skills to design components, patterns, and guidelines that enable product teams to create consistent and high-quality user experiences
- You’ll act as a subject matter expert and guide for product teams, providing them with tailored assistance as they work with the design system
- You’ll be the voice of the user, advocating for and instilling the design system team with a user centric mindset.
- You’ll collaborate freely, sharing your expertise and absorbing learning from others to help foster a culture of improvement and continuous learning.

Who we’re looking for
- You have 4+ years of product design experience with an accompanying portfolio
- You have 1+ years designing and building durable design systems at scale within a large product organization
- You have a well-rounded Product Design skill set (visual design, interaction design, research, etc.) with a drive to never stop learning and improving
- You have a strong inclination towards systems thinking, understanding how everything fits together and how small and large changes affect our users, products, and teams.
- You take ownership of your work – making decisions, defending them soundly, and holding yourself responsible for the outcomes they produce.
- You have the flexibility to be a great collaborator and drive successful outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- You have excellent critical thinking and attention to detail when exploring solutions at a systematic level and a component level
- You have the ability to create written systems guidelines that clearly articulate how components, styles, and patterns are applied in products.
- You have the ability to appropriately communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a timely and effective manner
- You have strong familiarity with Material Design Guidelines and Human Interface Guidelines (iOS)
- You have significant design understanding in one or more of the following areas: accessibility standards and guidelines, visual language or tooling with emphasis on Figma, third party component libraries like MUI and Angular Material, Storybook, and CSS
- You have an understanding of Web Accessibility Concepts (WCAG) and how it impacts the product and our users
- You have expertise in Figma
