Our team of agile and forward-thinking product designers are looking to expand their team. Arista is growing quickly and its CloudVision product is being packed with lots of new and exciting features. There’s so much innovation and usability improvement that a new designer is needed to spearhead projects and make their stamp upon the product.
In a world where computer networks profoundly influence data flow among nations, organizations, and individuals, your role as a Product Designer for our CloudVision product is pivotal. You will redefine the deployment, management, and monitoring of computer networks. This role is both thrilling and rewarding: you will creatively solve user issues, transform complex processes into intuitive user interfaces, and experience a genuine sense of accomplishment.
What You'll Do
- Identify high-impact business problems and define the features and user experiences to solve them
- Transform business and customer requirements into effective, efficient, and elegant solutions
- Use strong systems thinking to enhance existing workflows and experiences for scalability
- Conduct user research and data analysis to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivators that lead to engagement and realization of customer value
- Translate abstract concepts into simple, elegant, and innovative designs expressed in sketches, diagrams, rapid prototypes, and final design executions
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering team members to understand customers and markets, develop product strategies and detailed requirements and designs, and ensure successful release to market
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of your design solutions and identify strategies for enhancement and improvement
- Demonstrate accountability and ownership of your work and responsibility for every detail, every step of the way
- Contribute to evolving design practices and resources, supporting the digital maturity of our organization
The CloudVision UI features extensive workflows that span multiple applications, requiring an adept designer who thrives on challenges. This role demands a persistent commitment to enhancing your design expertise, thinking innovatively, and effectively communicating design concepts to our customer.

- 6+ years of professional experience within an enterprise environment
- Proficiency in user research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, usability testing, demonstrated by an exceptional portfolio of work
- Meticulous attention to detail, including: typography, color choice, interaction patterns, and user flows. You have an understanding that even the smallest details can have a significant impact on the overall user experience
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a complex enterprise environment with a solution-oriented attitude
- Effortlessly balance multiple projects and competing priorities while communicating trade-offs
- Empathy with users and a customer-focused mindset
- Able to persuade and influence others to support your ideas and initiatives, via crafting compelling arguments, presenting evidence to support your claims, and addressing objections or concerns raised by others
- Strong analytical skills, using qualitative and quantitative data to guide design decisions
- A deep sense of ownership and accountability for the quality of work you lead and deliver.
- Ability to take initiative and proactively seek opportunities to improve the product and the design process
- Humility, enthusiasm, and ability to build relationships, foster trust, and develop shared understanding
The new hire base pay for this role has a pay range of $115,000 to $163,000 across Canada. Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. Employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, income protection and a Group Retirement Savings Plan.
