Your crew during this flight:
As (Senior) Project & Procurement Manager - Direct Material, you will be part of the Volocopter Procurement Team – working with highly experienced, dynamic, and motivated colleagues. Within the team you are responsible for the procurement of aerospace parts of defined commodities.
Your mission during this flight:
- You support, manage and consult the departments in the entire purchasing process for the responsible commodity, taking into account applicable purchasing processes and targets.
- You identify, develop and evaluate suppliers, as well as strategic development and consolidation of a supplier pool.
- You independently prepare and conduct negotiations within a complex scope of work, involving relevant departments and legal if necessary.
- You prepare contracts, purchase orders and closings using existing purchasing systems.
- You are directly involved in the product development process by helping to shape cross-functional collaboration between development, logistics, accounting and suppliers.
- You ensure timely awards in compliance with strategic business objectives.
- You are regularly in touch with international suppliers in order to keep an up-to-date market overview.
- Together with colleagues of other departments you develop cost effective standard designs and smart quality control concepts.
- You optimize purchasing processes.
Check in your professional skills:
- Your have 5+ years experience in direct procurement or supply chain management, ideally but not neccessarily from the aviation or automotive industry.
- You have an academic background in the field of Business Administration or Industrial Engineering or a completed apprenticeship in this area.
- You bring experience from commodities like modules/systems, electronic instruments, batteries, motors, cables, harnesses, standard and norm parts, buy- and COTS parts, consumables OR others.
- You have shown strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to work cross-functionally and effectively with engineering and production teams before.
- You have a good command in MS-Office and preferably MS Dynamics 365 Business Central - Navision ERP.
- You have an excellent command of spoken and written English, as well as German.
- You are willed to travel from time-to-time.
