Senior/Principal UX Designer

Nielsen Sports is the global leader in providing world class data sets and analytics. Using data and insights, we strive to maximize opportunities and provide greater ROI to both rights holders and brands through our comprehensive self service platforms.We are looking for a Sr/Principal UX Designer  to join our team, who will bring Nielsen Sports capabilities to a new level, by create a unique journey and experience to the end-to-end data process from data collection and processing to creative data presentation and delivery to our clients, as well as by collaborating with various stakeholders, analysts and internal users.  Your experience in solving customer problems and analytics helps you to drive product iterations that are rooted in quantifiable insights and your deep understanding of users helps you to identify pain points, processes, and practices that present opportunities for our users.

  • Creative & Development Technology shapes the future of interactive user experiences by harnessing data and technology to empower the creation of the next generation of data interactivity. As a Sr/Principal UX Designer, you are an outcome-oriented designer with a strong foundation in UX methodology, clear and concise interaction design, and systems thinking. You also possess a bold and creative outlook using data, trends, and intuition to evolve design practices and uncover new product opportunities. Alongside your UX capabilities, we seek a leader who inspires cross-functional partnerships to build collaborative, inclusive experiences through effective communication and relationship-building.

  • Key Responsibilities and Expectations:Establish the design strategy, ability to execute fundamental design research, and lead design innovation activities. 
  • Clearly understand and participate in the product vision and strategy, as well as the overall end-to-end process and data flow (ingestion, processing, storing, and delivery), and participate in the development of one or more of these process steps
  • Collaborate with product managers and leaders to find solutions to complex problems and lead new research plans to help tackle them.
  • Undertake discovery and user research, collecting feedback to comprehend user needs, pain points, and preferences. Influence product strategies and vision with these insights and integrate them, along with competitive analysis, into user-centric design goals, incorporating the findings into iterative design revisions.
  • Support the squads in visualizing and prototype ideated solutions at multiple levels of fidelity, including high-level wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations and detailed specifications.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with product managers, software engineers and stakeholders who are geographically distributed across the globe.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX design, and apply them to improve the platform’s usability and user experience.
  • Develop success metrics and measure the performance of deployed UX innovations.
  • Proactively ensure important tasks and decisions are made while advocating towards solving the customer problem

  • Your skills: Min 5 years of relevant experience building viable products Highly analytical and able to think and explain all product UX initiatives through data
  • Strong experience in planning, execution, and delivery in iterations
  • Ability to create and provide insight through a service blueprint for operational systemsPresent user experience research findings and design concepts to partners, gaining their support and support.Validate or redefine your assumptions by putting your work in front of users.
  • Experience contributing at a strategic level to outcome bed roadmaps
  • Experience setting up platform usage analytics, using tools to track user behavior, and gathering insights for iterative design improvements.
  • Draw on your mixed-methods research background to prioritize research opportunities, build and own research roadmap planning, and handle expectations with collaborators.
  • Must have a portfolio or project showing user-centered designs demonstrating how you used research and data to inform your decisions.
  • Highly proactive and passionate about solving problemsAlways curious and feel that you have much left to learnTrack record of successfully launching and constantly improving data-driven products
  • Detail and results-oriented with a passion for problem-solving
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication skillsFluent in English
