Primary Function of Position
The Pricing team integrates and enhances the fast-paced work executed at the intersection of Sales, Sales Operations, and Finance. The guiding principle is to bolster the company’s strategic position through deep pricing intelligence, proactive pricing efforts, and leverage of industry accepted pricing models. This role will work closely with global finance and sales leadership teams by creating in-depth pricing analyses and supporting broader strategic pricing initiatives. By generating insights about customers and our pricing programs, the Pricing Analyst will help sales leaders balance the needs of the customer and flexible pricing solutions that accelerate adoption of our products and services.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Establish deep understanding of company's products, services, pricing, segmentation, and value positioning.
- Support the Commercial team and Tender team on complex transactions with financial modeling and margin analysis
- Report metrics, develop dashboards, and share insights around Intuitive products and pricing programs
- Craft commercially competitive pricing solutions that supports the capital, service, digital, and consumable business lines
- Support the integration and data foundation of the Configure Price Quote (CPQ) system into pricing activities
- Generate insights and analysis against a volume of internal transaction data, market pricing trends, and customer economics
- Monitor, visualize and socialize results and analysis of pricing activity to relevant stakeholders
- Closely support the senior leadership team on a regular and ad-hoc basis
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of experience in a finance, analytical and/or commercial support role
- Experience in Medical Device or Healthcare industry desired
- Advanced in MS Excel, Tableau, and SQL
- Proficient in financial analysis and financial modeling
- Intellectual curiosity and self-motivated
- Self-learner with the ability to pick up new skill sets quickly
- Strong communication and business partnering skills
- Ability to present, articulate, and defend analyses, diplomatically, on a routine basis
- Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrates analytically driven problem-solving ability
- This role requires periodic travel in support of strategic pricing initiatives
