Job Summary:

This role is integral to fostering an environment of continuous improvement and operational excellence within Whatfix, making it a key position within the company's leadership structure.

As the Director of Product Management for Internal Business Solutions at Whatfix, you will lead a team dedicated to developing and enhancing tools and systems that support the operational efficiency of internal business functions such as Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, HR, Finance, and Procurement. This leadership role is crucial in ensuring that the product management initiatives align with Whatfix’s broader organizational goals and effectively enhance the operational efficiency of internal business teams. You will report directly to senior management and will be pivotal in aligning product strategies with the company's overarching goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Direction and Vision: Set the overall strategic direction for the internal business solutions, aligning product initiatives with the company's long-term goals. The leader will ensure that product strategies improve operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and enhance user satisfaction across various internal departments.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers. This involves setting clear goals, managing project loads, and ensuring that staff have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.

  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between the product management team and other senior stakeholders within the company. This role requires excellent communication skills to ensure expectations are managed, and organizational objectives are clearly understood and implemented.

  • Innovation and Improvement Oversight: Oversee the innovation and continuous improvement of internal tools and platforms. Encourage a culture of innovation within the team to explore and implement cutting-edge solutions that provide competitive advantages.

  • Performance and Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and report on the performance of internal solutions against the set objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure all product initiatives comply with legal and regulatory standards, as well as internal policies.

  • Budget and Resource Allocation: Manage the budget for product development initiatives, making strategic decisions about resource allocation to maximize return on investment and ensure project success.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing diverse product management teams.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to evaluate market trends, technological advancements, and business opportunities.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with other leaders and stakeholders.

  • Experience in product lifecycle management, from conception through to delivery and iteration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in product management, particularly in developing internal business solutions.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Deep understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.

  • Ability to drive strategic planning and execute on deliverables with a focus on results.

  • Experience in handling complex product challenges and making high-stakes decisions based on thorough data analysis.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.

  • At least 10 years of experience in product management, with 5+ years in a leadership role managing a product team.

  • Product management experience, in a leadership role overseeing product strategies for internal solutions is preferred.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful technology solutions within a large organization.

  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to work closely with IT and development teams.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
