The work:
The Power Platform Developer will be a part of Equitable Bank’s strategic, digital initiatives. Primary responsibilities include developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform components, such as Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI, among others. A typical day of a Power Platform Developer involves understanding the business and its challenges, functionally outlining a solution to the identified use cases and then developing an app using Power Platform and working with other development teams as necessary.
Main Activities
- Responsible for developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform components, such as Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents, among others.
- Assess suitability for solutions in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Microsoft 365.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to understand client pain points and troubleshoot as challenges arise. Also work directly with clients to support various projects and solutions.
- Applying Power Apps including an in-depth understanding of customization, configuration, security, integration, extensibility, boundaries and constraints.
- Providing architecture, configuration, administration and functional support to expand capabilities in Microsoft 365 and facilitate process improvement.
- Following best practices for building and packaging Power Platform components.
- Responsible for developing and testing Power Platform components.
- Development of Azure logic apps and Azure functions to extend the Power Platform capabilities.
- Design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing.
- Ability to create custom connectors for Microsoft Power Automate
Let’s Talk About You!
- A motivated self-learner who can carry a concept from early planning to full implementation
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Have 5+ years of extensive experience in Microsoft Power Platform – MS PowerApps, Automate Flows, SharePoint and Power BI
- Experience using data connectors, limits and Dataverse security model (Role Levels, Record ownership).
- Experience in Business systems analysis and support.
- Experience working with SharePoint Online and MS Teams and utilizing Power Apps and Power Automate to extend SharePoint functionality.
- Experience as a SharePoint site owner and/or Site Collector Administrator
- Understanding of Power Platform licensing model and limitations.
- Experience with customizing D365 and building Model driven apps is an asset
- Leveraging PowerShell and Argo workflows to manage SharePoint Online environments.
- Extending the SharePoint online capabilities by developing custom components.
- Experience working on Migrating the data to SharePoint Document libraries.
- .Net development experience with C#, ASP.Net, .Net Core, Entity Framework, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is an asset.
- Applying best practices to build and package Power Platform components.
- Experience working with MS Purview Compliance portal for Auditing & Policies.

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.
