You will play a key part in leading the delivery of Power BI solutions and driving insight.
What you'll be doing:
- Ingesting data from a variety of corporate data sources and performing required transformations in the Power BI query editor.
- Data modelling capabilities, including designing effective BI data models in line with the Kimble methodology.
- Developing calculations in DAX which are accurate and performant on large datasets.
- Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and interactive dashboards using Power BI desktop.
- Reviewing existing Power BI reports (working with Power BI analyst) to determine which factors most affect performance.
- Good understanding of managing and monitoring usage, data refreshes and security features.
About you:
- You will have strong experience working with Power BI, including report creation and Power BI performance optimisation.
- Experience as a Business Intelligence developer using the Microsoft BI stack e.g., SQL Server database, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI
- Strong SQL skills for querying and creating views/tables, functions, and stored procedures.
- Build dashboards, reports and cubes using SQL, MDX, DAX
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, preferably on Azure
