The Red Gate Group is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to support CISA's Office of Bombing Prevention (OBP) in Arlington, VA. This role involves providing expert analysis and policy guidance on IED and C-IED issues, integrating technical concepts into multiagency strategies, and coordinating policy discussions with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in IED and C-IED policy, planning, and analysis.
- Analyze existing policy documents, synthesize technical documents, and merge primary concepts from diverse documents into cohesive, multiagency policy and strategy frameworks.
- Assist the government in organizing policy and strategy discussions and working groups with interagency partners, private sector, and international stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the government to develop, refine, and update comprehensive guidance on IED prevention, protection, and mitigation. This includes updating the Security and Resiliency Guide for Countering IEDs and related annexes.
- Lead coordination efforts with the government to develop and recommend strategies for implementing policies such as the National Policy for Countering IEDs.
- Support the facilitation and management of the Department of Homeland Security IED Working Group and associated meetings.
- Assist in the coordination, development, and drafting of the OBP AOP.
- Adhere to defined change control procedures and coordinate the OBP AOP with other internal CISA AOPs.
- Assist in the coordination and development of the ISD AOP and other related documents.
- Review and provide suggestions for the OBP Concept of Operations.
- Support the government in the development, publishing, and updating of the OBP Strategic Plan.
- Support OBP participation in the ISD Policy Synch meeting or its replacement and produce a summary for further dissemination.
- Assist the government in developing, tracking, and updating OBP’s analytical metrics.
Required Skills & Experience
- Active TS/SCI
- MS/MA Degree
- 10+ years of experience writing, implementing, and supporting policy development with an understanding of CISA requirements
