The Senior Planner will be responsible for the development and management of the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the Backward Integration Program (BIP) in the sugar refinery. This role involves proactive planning, execution, and risk management to ensure the program meets its objectives. The Senior Planner will collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor program performance, and develop recovery plans for any deviations from the schedule.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Facilitate the development and maintenance of the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to guide the BIP's activities.
- Lead the planning and monitoring of the program’s performance, ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives.
- Engage in program execution, identifying potential risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Review, recommend, and implement schedule adjustments or recovery plans proactively to address any delays or issues.
- Conduct regular assessments to ensure project milestones are met and financial targets are maintained.
- Prepare detailed progress reports and presentations for stakeholders to communicate project status.
- Coordinate with other departments and teams to ensure alignment with the overall program goals.
- Ensure all planning, scheduling, and risk management activities support the strategic goals of the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor program performance, and develop recovery plans for any deviations from the schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior project management or planning role, ideally within the sugar industry or a similar field.
- Proven track record in planning and scheduling complex projects, with specific experience in Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
- Certification in project or program management, such as PMP (Project Management Professional), is required.
