We are seeking a Senior Planner to play a crucial role in our planning function, focusing independently on carving and creating a newly formed team and focussing on our Makeup category. You will be an expert in option and range planning, currently managing your own departmental category within a beauty business ideally, with a proven track record of delivering both sales and profit growth. You will be creating and managing your department from strategy through to delivery.

The Role
Your daily to-dos might look like this:
- Fully planning and trading the Makeup category at senior or manager level
- Build out your departments planning strategy to drive growth and deliver targets
- Plan and trade continuity product to ensure 100% stock availability for SKUs are maintained at all times
- Determine optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimising excess stock and obsolescence
- Managing category weekly sales, stock and intake data
- Carry out detailed analysis of current and past performance to maximise commercial opportunities
- Provide regular & ad-hoc analysis to the business, sharing insights and collaborate on strategies to address market changes and enhance overall company performance.
- Support markdown planning
- Collaborate with internal teams to incorporate promotional factors into demand planning
- Develop and produce best in class reporting
- Lead and mentor junior members of the team
Requirements
These skills will help you go far in this role:
- Proven senior level experience in planning/merchandising department
- Experience of managing your own category and team, ideally within a beauty or retail business
- Proven ability working with and influencing senior management and stakeholders
- Proactive, solution led approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong financial acumen
