We are looking for an experienced backend developer, team player and self-starter who is passionate about web technologies and user experience. The ideal candidate loves to work in a multicultural and also fast paced environment, developing high end solutions to our enterprise clients around Asia Pacific region and the world. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for understanding customer requirements and designing tailored software solutions. You'll also set up and implement continuous integration and delivery processes to ensure smooth software delivery. In addition to supporting pre-sales activities to help secure new projects, you'll share your knowledge within the organization and the wider software community. You'll play an active role in the hiring process through technical interviews and provide detailed reports and documentation on solution designs and project progress.
Key Accountabilities:
- Understand customer requirements and design solutions
- Review existing software and advise customers on issues and improvements
- Provide reporting and documentation regarding solution design and project updates
- Setup and effectively use continuous integration and delivery tooling and processes to deliver software
- Take a leadership role in architecting, scoping and delivering the best possible technical solutions to meet the project objectives
- Analyse applications specifications/requirements and design solutions that best match CI&T's customers expectations on performance, usability, scalability, security and maintainability
- Support the hiring process through technical interviewing
- Support pre-sales activity to aid in the winning of new work
- Share knowledge within the organisation and with the broader software community
Knowledge and Experience:
- A minimum 3 years of experience implementing web solutions and involved or leading the solutions architecture with PHP, utilising PHP frameworks like Symphony, Drupal
- Knowledgeable and experienced on the LAMP stack, including nuances/features associated to applications setup, deployment and configuration on AWS-like platforms and proficiency with GIT and deployment workflows
- Experience developing and integrating web solutions with 3rd party components/web services/APIs and the constraints involved on it
- A passion for delivering exceptional technical solutions and customer experiences
- Good communication skills, teamwork, interested in new technologies
- Outstanding consulting skills, with strong negotiation and influencing skills with customers
- Experience leading a small team in an Agile environment
- Experience automating the software development lifecycle
- Problem solving abilities when working with unfamiliar solutions
- Strong documentation skills and mindset
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent experience
- The ability to lead a team of software engineers in the development of a solution
- Experience with server performance tuning and scaling (load-balancing, multiple web / database servers)
- BONUS POINT: Experience with Drupal 7 to Drupal 8+ migration
- BONUS POINT: Good knowledge on Drupal Theming, XML, HTML, CSS, Javascript
- BONUS POINT: Proficiency in Drupal custom module development, review and test
