Role Overview
The People team’s goal is to facilitate a highly engaged, values-based performance culture that’s focused on achieving growth for Zego. As a Senior People Partner you will work with our Managers, Leaders and their teams to translate the business strategy into short and long-term People requirements that will drive the business to maintain its culture and achieve business results through high performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Learning & Development: You will work closely with managers and leaders to identify talent development needs, facilitating the creation of tailored development plans, and driving leadership and management development initiatives that build capability at all levels. You’ll ensure that our L&D strategy equips our people to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Employee Relations: You will confidently manage and resolve complex employee relations cases, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with employment legislation. You’ll also act as a thought partner to our leaders, helping them proactively manage ER issues and build positive working relationships across their teams.
  • Talent Management: You will take ownership of key processes such as bi-annual talent reviews and reward cycles, ensuring that we effectively assess, develop, and reward our people. You’ll work with leadership to build succession plans and drive retention of top talent.
  • Data-Driven Insights: You will use both qualitative and quantitative People data to diagnose issues, spot trends, and provide actionable insights that support decision-making at the leadership level. Your ability to communicate these insights will help influence and shape business outcomes.
  • Strategic Projects & Initiatives: You will lead and contribute to cross-functional People initiatives that drive engagement, performance, and inclusion, while partnering closely with the wider distributed People team to ensure smooth roll-out and implementation of key programs.
  • Change Management: You will support leaders and managers through periods of organisational change, acting as a key partner in driving transformation, ensuring teams are engaged and equipped to navigate change effectively.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • You will be an experienced People Partner with a proven track record of working closely with managers across all levels and disciplines. 
  • You’ll have a strong background in Learning & Development, with the ability to coach, upskill, and empower line managers to confidently lead their teams, drive performance, and develop talent.
  • You will be focused on business outcomes with a track record of delivery in growing environments. 
  • You will have excellent relationship-building and coaching skills, with the ability to move between listening, guiding, and coaching at all levels. 
  • You will have the ability to make quick, sound decisions based on knowledge and judgement. 
  • You will have strong Employee Relations experience helping them to proactively manage ER issues.
  • You will be data-driven and can turn data into actionable insights.
  • You will have strong communication and presentation skills to facilitate plans, projects and initiatives.
  • You will have a good knowledge of UK employment legislation (knowledge of employment legislation in other European locations a bonus).
  • You will have a proven ability to effectively organise, prioritise, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
