What's the role?

This is an exciting 13-month parental leave cover contract role for a Senior People & Culture Business Partner beginning mid-June. As a Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you’ll partner with our commercial side of the business (sales, marketing, customer) to continue to build high-performing teams and to make sure everyone at EstimateOne is set up for success in their role. 

As Senior People & Culture Business Partners, we’re not just ”HR”. We partner closely and proactively with our teams and leaders to continue building an award-winning culture, making sure our teams are set up to achieve our business goals. You’ll be a generalist in P&C and work across all things people - recruitment, onboarding, legislation, facilitating team workshops, performance management, etc. This is a broad P&C role where no two days will be the same. 

We're looking for smart people who are keen to collaborate - it's that simple. The ability to champion our values matters to us; we care about our team and you'll be joining a group of people who want each other to be happy and successful. 

About You:

  • You’re a people person and want to contribute to a great culture within EstimateOne 
  • You have experience working in a generalist People & Culture Business Partner role spanning across the full employee experience e.g. HR, recruitment, L&D, facilitating workshops, performance management etc 
  • Ideally, you have experience working within a tech company
  • You’ve worked in scale-up businesses, proactively looking to make them even better, and creating a big impact 
  • You’re happy to support our UK team (we have 5 team members there!)
  • You’re a clear communicator, able to communicate openly with individuals across the business 
  • You’re driven, looking to ‘hustle’ and impatient for our business to improve. You’re willing to push others to deliver more and do it better, and you are good at unblocking to enable others to smash it!
  • You’re keen to contribute and roll your sleeves up wherever you can - you’ll never hear: “Stay in your lane!”
  • You like to collaborate and will join us in the office on our P&C office day (currently Wednesdays, but open to any day that works!). 
  • Bonus points if you have L&D experience!!

If you’re a motivated, self-starter who has proven success in being the P&C lead for the business teams you partner with, we need you in our team! 

What else?

  • We are flexible about hours. You don't have to work full-time, although we'd love it if you did.
  • You'll need to be a great communicator
  • You'll need to be legally eligible to work in Australia and based in Melbourne.
  • Formal training/education is nice, but not a requirement (after all, our founder dropped out of university after six weeks...)
