We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable People Operations Specialist. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in international payroll, a strong command of English, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, international work environment. This role requires a collaborative team player capable of working within a globally distributed team. The position is based in Madrid, with a hybrid work model requiring office presence twice a week.
Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Payroll Coordination: Run and coordinate monthly payroll processes for EMEA countries with support from local payroll providers. This includes managing salary, holiday accrual, commissions, incentives, equity, health and income protection, and pensions.

Employee Benefits Administration: Coordinate the enrollment, changes, and terminations for employee health and pension programs.

System and Process Improvement: Collaborate with key business stakeholders to define, design, and implement system, process, and reporting enhancements to ensure accurate payroll processing.

Primary Payroll Contact: Serve as a primary contact for all EMEA employees and third-party service providers regarding payroll inquiries and local taxation requirements and changes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance & Accounting teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in payroll-related matters.

Ad-hoc Requests: Address and resolve ad-hoc employee requests related to payroll, benefits, and the entire employee lifecycle.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in international payroll (preferably countries like: France, UK, India, also Spain...) .

Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish (French is a plus).

Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to a very international and fast-paced work environment.

Team Player: Strong team player with the ability to work effectively within a global, distributed team.

Location: Office-based in Madrid with a requirement to be present in the office twice a week.

Knowledge of EMEA Payroll Regulations: Familiarity with local taxation requirements and changes within the EMEA region.
