Senior Operations Manager – Preservation

The Production Manager of Preservation Operations plays a crucial role in exceeding expectations and providing a superb customer experience; critical to Kofile’s success which is built on a foundation of customer service, and innovation. This position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to balance strategy and execution. The Production manager is responsible for all aspects of the Preservation operations including, people management and development, process optimization, and meeting or exceeding the expectations and promise made to our customers. You will lead a dynamic team to achieve operational excellence through coaching and mentoring the team, driving employee engagement, and building leadership bench strength within the functional area. 

Responsibilities and Duties

Leadership

  • Provide vision, focus and direction of Preservation practices with the Dallas operation.
  • Manage an efficient and effective department through strategic planning, assessment, reporting, and optimal use of time, space, supplies, and budget
  • Responsible for production workflow activities, adherence to quality and performance standards and compliance to service level agreements.
  • Builds an accountable work culture on the production floor that drives positive employee engagement leading to high performance, commitment, and retention.

Operations Excellence & Tech Enablement

  • Utilize technology to automate production and Quality Control/Assurance processes
  • Optimize, develop, and oversee preservation procedures throughout the department; develop and ensure adherence to departmental standard operating procedures
  • Facilitate problem solving to Identify root cause and establish corrective actions.
  • Design workflows to maximize throughput for optimal margin performance and deliver on KPI objectives.
  • Develop new competencies among staff and expand institutional knowledge of current and emerging best practices, tools, strategies, and standards.
  • Oversee customer support processes and organize to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate/report overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data within Kofile’ s ERP software Oracle NetSuite.

Management Systems & Operational Discipline

  • Create and maintain KPIs to measure performance against standards and against plan; review KPIs with senior management and advise on performance variances from expectation
  • Partner with production controller to optimize production schedule /projects based on company and department priorities in collaboration with Sales and other production operating units

Educational requirements Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; can substitute experience for degree
  • Five to ten years’ management experience, including progressively responsible leadership experience resulting in outstanding leadership capabilities
  • Experience working in a tech enabled production environment
  • A track record of building effective partnerships and sustaining relationships in a collaborative, complex environment comprising multiple and diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in managing complex, time-sensitive projects, evaluating workflows, and successfully designing or enhancing production-oriented work processes
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues and processes to nontechnical audiences
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • ERP and database management experience (Oracle NetSuite) a plus
  • Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing or Operations Experience preferred.
  • An excellent grasp of financial forecasting. 
  • Fine-tuned communication skills with varying levels within a company. 
  • Leadership ability, and a highly organized approach to leadership.

  • Knowledge of NetSuite as a user
  • Project Management
  • Knowledge of  inventory management
