About the Role
We’re searching for a talented, strategic thinker to join our Rider Supply team within the Operations department. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and optimize the rider onboarding function, ensuring Deliveroo has the right supply of riders across all our markets. If you are analytical, driven by ownership, and excited to think outside the box in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the supply targets in every city, ensuring we achieve optimal fleet size.
- This involves monitoring supply stages closely and making data-driven decisions to meet targets.
Oversee the onboarding workflow for all markets, ensuring a seamless process and compliance with local laws.
- Develop and refine processes to improve onboarding efficiency and right-to-work compliance.
- Serve as the primary liaison with our third-party logistics (3PL) partners, supporting them in enhancing driver performance, engagement, and compliance standards.
- Independently design and set up processes for all onboarding activities, including setting targets, tracking onboarding speed, and improving efficiencies.
- Work closely with stakeholders from other departments to ensure alignment with operational changes and cross-functional projects, communicating clearly and persuasively.
What We’re Looking For:
- Skilled in analysing data and spotting trends that inform strategic decisions. Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets and able to derive insights from complex data.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an operations role in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a similar industry (gig economy, logistics, or supply chain).
- Demonstrates strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically, with a clear understanding of how to scale operations sustainably.
- Capable of translating ideas into clear, actionable plans for diverse audiences, with solid presentation and negotiation skills.
You get things done and are willing to roll up your sleeves. You’re resourceful, know when to act, and leverage the 80/20 rule to make informed, timely decisions.
- Able to maintain a strong work ethic in challenging situations and approach problems with a positive, solutions-focused mindset.
- You’re intellectually curious and comfortable challenging the status quo to find better ways of doing things
