In the Business Area Software and Central Technologies, our Research and Advanced Engineering team is looking for a talented and experienced Senior NLP Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge NLP solutions that will drive innovation of our engineering processes.

Description

• Design and implement innovation projects in the field of AI & NLP for automotive engineering processes with a strong focus on large language models.
• Fine-tune and optimize language models for domain-specific use cases in partnership with our business units to achieve high accuracy and performance.
• Design and implement agentic workflows and prompts for leveraging LLMs in applications.
• Promote the adoption of NLP & LLMs for engineering processes and beyond.
• Collaborate with research engineers, data scientists, software engineers, project managers, and product owners to ensure the successful integration of NLP models into our processes.
• Evaluate and monitor the performance of NLP models in production, and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation for NLP models and systems.

Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field of NLP & LLMs and share your knowledge with the team and the organization.

• MSc or PhD in computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematics, or a related field;
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in NLP engineering or a related field;
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with NLP libraries and deep learning frameworks;
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques for NLP tasks;
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus;
• Previous experience in the automotive industry is a plus;
• Excellent communication (English), collaboration, and problem-solving skills;
• A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of NLP for automotive engineering processes and beyond.
