We are seeking a talented Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing complex network solutions. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring our network infrastructure's performance, security, and reliability.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network solutions to meet organizational requirements.
- Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs, and other network devices.
- Provide 24x7 monitoring, response, troubleshooting of network issues, and timely resolution.
- Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure the security of the organization's network infrastructure.
- Maintain network infrastructure per ISO, SOC2, and PCI compliance requirements, providing evidence of compliance during audits.
- Implement and maintain security measures like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Design, implement, and maintain network architecture supporting the hybrid environment, integrating on-premises and cloud resources.
- Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and best practices, sharing knowledge with team members to improve overall competency.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business needs.
- Maintain detailed network infrastructure documentation, configurations, and changes for troubleshooting, auditing, and future planning.
Primary Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, SSL/TLS, IPsec, SNMP, NAT, VPN, MPLS, etc.
- Proficiency with network platforms such as Cisco devices (routers, switches), firewalls (SonicWall, Fortigate), and wireless access points.
- Expertise in network security principles and best practices, including IDS/IPS, VPNs, WAFs, DDoS protection, etc.
- Experience with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and other network services.
- Proficiency in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning tools (Wireshark, Fiddler, Nmap, etc.).
Secondary Skills:
- Experience with network infrastructure compliance standards (ISO, SOC2, PCI) and auditing processes.
- Ability to automate network tasks using scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and tools like Ansible.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with cloud networking services and architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or Senior Network Engineer.
- Mandatory certifications: CompTIA Network+ or CCNA or CCNP.
