We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer with a strong focus on networking and cloud technologies to join our Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructure systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of business needs.
In this role, the chosen candidate will be reporting directly under the Lead Infrastructure Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Design, implement, and maintain the organization's content delivery networks.
- Design, deploy and manage Private and Public Cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, KVM, VMware
- Optimize network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
- Collaborate with other technical and non-technical departments to integrate infrastructure with broader IT systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking and cloud technologies and industry best practices.
- Adopt an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) mentality, utilizing tools and practices to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users as needed.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- 3+ years of experience in network design and management.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. (Ansible, Terraform, Python, Powershell)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure technologies, including on-premises solutions, Physical servers and Storage solutions.
- Experience with managing and implementing a Content Delivery Network. (Cloudflare, Cloudfront)
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as:
- Cloud Certifications; AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Azure Solutions Architect.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- CheckPoint Certified Administrator (CCSA) or Checkpoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Routing, Switching Firewalls).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Ensure a strong emphasis on security in all designs, implementations, and processes, consistently adhering to best practices.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding and adherence to KPIs and SLAs.
