Requirements
As a Senior Network Admin, you will be pivotal in managing IT operations, ensuring compliance with policies, and delivering efficient IT services. Your role includes maintaining network security, optimizing performance, and supporting the overall IT strategy. Expertise in Fortinet products, routing, switching, and network security is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize network operations, including troubleshooting and upgrades.
- Configure, install, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Lead the design and implementation of functional network infrastructures.
- Collaborate with IT teams and external stakeholders to ensure reliable operations.
- Provide technical support, mentor junior staff, and guide troubleshooting efforts.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Evaluate and implement new network technologies and products.
- Manage network security, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Drive severe or crisis incidents, coordinating with vendors for smooth resolution
Qualification:
- 7+ years experience in network administration or a similar role.
- Extensive experience with Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco routers, and network security.
- Proficiency in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and network performance optimization.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, ticketing tools (e.g., BMC Remedy, ServiceNow), and network monitoring.
Desired Skills:
- Hands-on experience with network security concepts, firewall policies, and intrusion prevention.
- Strong background in LAN/WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and VPN technologies.
- Knowledge of server infrastructure management, including backups, upgrades, and security.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, ISO 27001) are a plus
