As our new Senior Motion Designer, you’ll lead motion (2D, 3D) projects while providing mentorship and support to a team of 1-3 Motion Designers.

Required Skill Set
You’ll be responsible for 2D & 3D animations, design, sharing your passion for Art and Technology, and being a bit of a generalist with a well-rounded understanding of compositing and video post-production for our clients worldwide (including but not limited to Facebook, Google, Adidas, Ford, Coke, Fox, Disney).
Creative Skills
- Use your keenly developed aesthetic sense and practitioners background in design & animation to lead multiple motion-based projects with tight timelines
- Collaborate with the UX, Design, Strategy, and Development team to uncover creative solutions through motion design
- You will work alongside our developers, designers, producers, directors & to create world-class experiences such as AR, VR, digital & experiential projects. Delivering high-end motion content.
- Conceptualize animated content optimized for OOH, web, apps & social channels
- Interpret creative briefs & translate them into compelling reference libraries, style frames, and motion concepts with the ability to articulate your ideas
- Assist Creative Directors with various pitch & project needs as assigned
- Ability to work in editing cycles, from time to time you’ll be asked to edit videos and color-grade (ie. Case studies, live-action advertising)
Soft Skills
- Bring your “A-game” as a self-starter, problem solver & team-player; with strong communication & presentation skills with the ability to convey creative concepts to clients
- Communicate concepts to Creative Directors via links, mood boards, sketches & motion tests before commencing on design. Will be asked to defend decisions and articulate design choices
- Be eager to push the limits within your work and your personal development
- Provide mentorship and support to a team of 1-3 Motion Designers
Workflow
- Develop creative programs & motion design processes that help production flow
- Ability to forecast possible issues in projects
- Provide project budgets (time and cost) estimates to Executive Producers
- Responsible for producing and delivering motion elements in interactive projects
Be prepared to talk about:
- Your 4-6 years of experience in video editing & motion design, using After Effects, Cinema 4D Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, 2D animation & 3D camera. Basic Expressions, Particles, and Post Effects
Bonus if you can talk about:
- Advanced experience with Cinema 4D or Maya
- Understanding of Unity & Unreal would be an asset
- Advanced understanding of animation principles
- Experience rendering using Redshift or Octane rendering engines
- Advanced Compositing ( Types of passes, export from 3D software, 2D & 3D tracking )
- Knowledge of Mixamo Character Rigging, X-Particles, Red Giant Plug-ins
- Excellent understanding of grid systems and typographic layout
