Senior ML Scientist

You will

• Research and develop novel state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms. Topics include, but are not limited to, generative AI with diffusion and autoregressive models, video generation/editing, inpainting, and super-resolution.
• Create and implement non-standard, fresh, and creative scientific ideas to improve or speed up existing technologies.
• Push ideas to improve the quality of designed models specified by the product requirements.
• Support and justify new ideas with a theoretical and intuitive basis.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders while being highly involved in the usage of the research in the product.
• Follow up and support the development of models in an end-to-end manner: from design to production.
• Analyze, interpret, and explain outcomes of non-trivial experiments.
• Analyze the data used in experiments, understand the subtleties of it, and modify it appropriately if necessary.
• Communicate with data and product teams, and write clear and understandable research requirement documents.
• Collaborate with other scientists, exchange novel and interesting ideas, and reflect these ideas in the research process.

About you

• 3+ years of industry working experience in machine learning, deep learning (especially on computer vision tasks).
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. A Ph.D. degree in these disciplines is highly desirable.
• Experience in continuous development of ML/DL models and supporting them in production.
• Experience in deep theoretical understanding, communicating complex research ideas clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats.
• Experience in ML/DL frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Experience in scientific/academic research demonstrated by grants, patents, and/or first-authored publications at high-ranked conferences (such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, etc.) and/or journals (such as TPAMI, TIP, IJCV, etc.) is a big plus.
• Experience in generative modeling and a deep understanding of the theory behind is a big plus.
• Experience in leading teams or mentoring is a plus.
• Experience in classic computer vision approaches is a plus.
• Excellent self-organization, time management, planning, and analytical skills.
• Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
