Qualis LLC is seeking a Senior Military Analyst to work with one of our Space programs in Colorado Springs, CO. The successful candidate will possess knowledge and experience in Combatant Command (CCMD) or Major Command (MAJCOM) training, operations, intelligence and planning activities. The candidate must be comfortable and skilled at briefing executive leaders (e.g., CCMD Directors), and strong candidates will have an established record demonstrating an ability to work largely unsupervised, an ability to interact appropriately with all levels of the staff, from action officers to executive leaders, and proven ability to follow-through on all tasks. Well qualified candidates will possess the ability to continually absorb large amounts of two-way information between the program and the host CCMD. The individual must be able to prioritize and summarize important details into easily consumable data by the executive leadership team at a CCMD, and further pass data back to leadership summarizing CCMD perspectives for executives (Cell Chiefs, Tranche Program Managers; Deputy Director, Chief of Staff, and Director) as appropriate.

- A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 15 years’ experience working DOD acquisitions or operations (or equivalent experience) is required, master’s degree and advanced PME education highly preferred (e.g. Joint or Service War Colleges).
- Fully cleared and active TS/SCI required.
- Experience in organizations that use non-standard acquisition process (e.g., outside the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) processes) is desired.
- Example organizations using non-standard acquisition methodologies include Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO), the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the Special Capabilities Office (SCO).
- Experience in the Joint Planning Process (JPP) or experience in a CCMD J5 highly desired. Experience in one or more of USSPACECOM’s core missions highly preferred: Trans-Regional Missile Defense (TRMD), Global Sensor Management (GSM), Global SATCOM Operations Manager (GSOM), etc.…
- Familiarity with USSPACECOM equities regarding space operations, the USSPACECOM– NORAD -USNORTHCOM relationship, as well as a current appreciation of the relationship between USSPACECOM and its major subcomponents (CJFSCC/S4S, JFCC-IMD, USASMDC) will help the successful candidate integrate quickly into the Warfighter Integration team.
- Strong candidates must have the ability to prioritize critical tasks rapidly and correctly, with absolute minimal supervision.
- The successful candidate will be “comfortable being uncomfortable” and be an active change agent, championing LEO-based operations on behalf of the Joint Force, other DoD partner agencies, and Partner Nations.
- Experience serving in operations centers in a Joint capacity is preferred, especially USSPACECOM Ops Centers such as the Combined Space Operations Center (CSPOC), the Joint OPIR Center (JOPC), Missile Warning Center (MWC), SATCOM Integrated Operations Division (SIOD), Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC), or any Joint Intelligence and Operations Centers, Air Operations Centers, Maritime Operations Centers, Army Engagement Centers or similar.
- Travel will be required to support exercise events, approximately 15% of duty schedule.
