Summary
The Senior Marketing Manager at Deliveroo is responsible for overseeing the marketing strategies and initiatives of managing restaurants and promotions. The role involves developing and implementing marketing plans for joint business partners and managing restaurant promotion calendar and cross-functional promotions.
Restaurant Marketing
- Develop joint marketing plans with key, exclusive restaurant partners to drive customer love
- Develops and implements best practices with commercial teams (restaurant account management) to ensure the smooth completion of any campaign launches / tasks
- Lead and develop marketing templates and best practices based on previous campaign performance to launch / support restaurants
- Manages the restaurant promotion calendar alongside director of growth and director of restaurants
Promotions
- Existing customer campaigns: Manages and advises on the creation and development of cross-functional growth promotions to drive customer acquisition, retention and order frequency (5GB / ULT)
- New customer acquisition: Drives the new customer promotion strategy mechanic to increase incremental NC’s to the platform
- Collaborate closely with director of growth, director of grocery and retail and vertical stakeholders to implement clearly execute campaigns and ensure a smooth launch and execution
- Collaborate with Senior Marketing: Grocery and Retail to develop and implement customer promotions to drive vertical adoption / retention
Data Science
- Utilize data science insights to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.
- Forecast cost and %uplift for upcoming campaigns based on previous performance data
- Collaborate with the F&S team to identify trends, customer behavior, and market opportunities.
- Implement data-driven marketing initiatives to optimize ROI and drive business growth (orders, new customer acquisition and retention)
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor one direct report (Senior Marketing Associate)
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive marketing excellence
- Collaboration with CRM, digital media and brand teams to develop strong media plans (owned and paid) and creative execution
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, operations, and finance to align marketing campaigns (5GB / ULT)
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Team Management experience
- 5-7 years’ experience in Marketing
- Experience to work in complex work structures
- Experience to manage campaigns operationally
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Project management and coordination with other members of the team/department
- Team player
