The Job

We are looking for a Recruiting Leader to help us deliver on our promise to the customer and reach our goals. We are looking for a passionate leader who has a deep understanding of technology and talent landscape across the globe. You will be interfacing with our engineering leadership team, understanding the drivers and deliverables, thereby helping them translate these goals to talent objectives. You will then work with your team to make those goals a reality. To be successful at Coupang, you need to be deeply entrenched in the nuances of engineering recruiting, with the ability to guide the team to attracting the best talent. You will have the ability to dive deep into all aspects of Tech Recruiting – Talent Mapping, Sourcing, Engaging and Closing. You will work closely with Recruiting Operations and Programs as well as Global Mobility teams to ensure top of the class candidate experience. With a strong track record of success, you will be able to demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities. The role is based in Seoul, South Korea. 

What will you bring? 

  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in Technology and Software Recruitment 
  • 5+ years in building and leading powerhouse recruiting teams 
  • Deep expertise in recruiting engineering talent for top product companies across the globe 
  • Ability to thrive in uncertainty and love for numbers and metrics 
  • Proven experience in hiring best talent and developing them into one team 
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline 
  • Expertise in full lifecycle recruiting aspects, employment laws, salary trends 
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with Engineering Leadership and Stakeholder Management 
  • Ability to think globally and execute locally, with string business acumen 

What will you do? 

  • Interface with engineering and product leaders to understand hiring needs 
  • Understand funnel metrics and translate these to hiring goals 
  • Work closely with your team leads and members to build TA plans, closely monitor the delivery and pivot quickly 
  • Understand resource limitations and plan and prioritize ruthlessly 
  • Hire, coach and develop recruiting teams 
  • Dive deep
