We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Quality Assurance to lead, inspire, and improve our ability to deliver quality across our organization. The ideal candidate is technically proficient and possesses exceptional leadership skills, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving success across the organization by creating a company wide quality strategy and getting teams across the organization to align with that strategy.

What you’ll do

Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Quality Coaches to consistently meet or exceed performance targets and drive quality within their teams.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages continuous improvement and technical excellence.

  • Promote a generative culture that encourages collaboration, experimentation, and learning from failures.

  • Foster a sense of accountability within the team, empowering individuals to take ownership of their work and contribute their best.

Quality:

  • Help teams and leaders create a shared vision for quality strategy at the company.

  • Create expectations for teams around a vision for automated, manual, and unit testing.

  • Drive increased automated testing across the organization.

  • Collaborate with engineers and teams to create a quality mindset across the teams and throughout the organization.

  • Organize and manage the process of testing products before release including test plans.

  • Set clear standards and metrics for testing and let the whole team know what quality looks like.

  • Manage all aspects of ensuring products are delivered with quality.

Consensus Building:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and goals, ensuring clear communication between technical and non-technical team members.

  • Build consensus among team members, resolving conflicts, and making decisions that benefit the overall project and organization.

Data Driven:

  • Identify and document aggressive quality benchmarks for our apps, sites, and services.

  • Create automation in testing these benchmarks and SLAs regularly.

  • Ensure alerting and monitoring around these expectations are created and encourage ownership of this high standard.

Tooling:

  • Evaluate existing toolset for quality around engagement, usage, cost, and value.

  • Recommend and provide cost/value analysis around procurement of new tooling.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree or similar experience.

  • They can come up with a plan and get everyone on board with it.

  • Proven experience as a quality engineering manager or leader.

  • 5+ years of experience in automated testing using multiple testing frameworks.

  • Strong technical background with expertise in quality methodologies, tools, and technologies.

  • They consistently meet or exceed expectations, delivering quality work.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience in fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.

  • Eagerness to learn, adapt to change, and embrace new challenges.
