The Senior Manager - Service Delivery will oversee the management and maintenance of operating systems, including Windows and Linux, and ensure the security of these systems. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of system engineers, developing and implementing automation strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable and reliable solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and maintenance of Windows and Linux operating systems, ensuring timely patching and updates to maintain system security and performance.
- Lead and mentor a team of system engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team performance.
- Develop and implement automation strategies to streamline system operations and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable and reliable cloud solutions.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Manage security operations, including the implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls to protect systems and data.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and security standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve system engineering practices.
- Manage teams across different time zones, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Be ready to work in flexible shifts to accommodate different time zones.
- Oversee service delivery management, ensuring that services are delivered to clients according to agreed-upon standards.
- Implement governance controls to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Ensure exposure to and management of Service Level Agreements (SLA), Service Level Indicators (SLI), and Service Level Objectives (SLO).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of security operations and best practices.
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team of system engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong people management and grooming skills.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and strong expertise in Scrum practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
