About the Team/Role

Reporting into the Director of Product Quality Operations, the Senior Manager, Operations (QA) will be responsible for overseeing a large team of global compliance professionals, ensuring optimal performance, productive collaboration, and the consistent delivery of high-quality services for Checkr and its customers. 

The Senior Manager will also play a key strategic role in managing and streamlining compliance-based workflows and processes that directly support Checkr's products and customer base. This will be a highly cross-functional role that will collaborate closely with Operations, Product & Engineering, and Legal, as well as external vendors. 

This role will be based in our Denver, Colorado hub. 


What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage a global workforce of 50+ team members responsible for industry compliance, system accuracy, and general product operations
  • Own key performance metrics like turnaround time and quality that directly influence  department and company top-line goals
  • Use data to proactively optimize processes, creatively solve problems and track results to ensure maximum possible accuracy of team’s work
  • Drive continuous improvement in team decision-making and processes, and deliver remediation plans
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and investigate complex compliance risk issues and solve problems at the root causes
  • Communicate cross-functionally to ensure timely resolutions and information integrity. Ideate and execute on improvements for current processes, systems, and tools in partnership with Operations, Product, and Legal teams. 

What you bring

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Demonstrated experience in hiring, managing, and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience leading with global teams, including business process outsourcing
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for innovation, quality, compliance, and improving the customer experience
  • Knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and related employment laws, and background check industry or trust & safety experience is preferred

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The base salary range for this role in Denver, CO is $118,985 to $148,731.
