Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Warehouse - Quality/Logistics is responsible for all JSSI Parts & Leasing (JPL) Warehouses and material movement. JPL has a primary warehouse in Erlanger, KY and another warehouse in Ft Lauderdale, FL, as well as remote and consignment warehouses at multiple locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop JPL’s Warehouses into world-class logistics operations, creating excellence in packaging, layout, storage, and movement.
- Lead, train, and mentor the warehouse team/employees.
- Deliver and coordinate recurring training for warehouse staff.
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers, executing work requests quickly and with high accuracy.
- Manage all aspects of receiving, inspection, storage, and shipping process.
- Manage logistics and freight:
- o Quote and schedule shipments.
- o Manage freight vendors.
- o Maintain vendor history.
- o Coordinate heavy weight, door to door shipments.
- o Investigate alternate options for freight vendors, improving price and service level.
- Provide quality leadership to the warehouse, including but limited to:
- o Developing and formalizing quality manual and procedures
- o Performing internal audits
- o Primary liaison for all external audits
- Coordinate late night and weekend coverage.
- Track and report service level, inventory, and quality performance.
- Serve as the health, safety, and environmental leader for the warehouse function, including becoming Hazardous Material Shipping certified.
- Lead record retention and scanning strategy, including APU logs and aircraft records.
- Verify Open Stock and Materials, keeping accurate documentation for product orders.
- Maintain cycle counts, ensuring a consistent schedule and high accuracy.
- Develop packaging solutions; spec out and procure packaging supplies and equipment.
- Lead annual physical inventory counts at all locations.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of warehouse experience.
- 3 years’ leadership experience desired.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficient in reading and writing English.
- Experience in Aviation/Aerospace
- Desired experience in Salesforce or AvSight.
- Expertise in packaging, freight, and/or layouts.
- Experience working in AS9100 or ASA-100 quality system.
- Must demonstrate flexibility in job duties and work schedule/hours.
- Ability to become forklift licensed.
