Senior Manager of Credit, Collections and Accounts Receivable

As a Senior Manager of Credit, Collections and Accounts Receivable at Penumbra, you will play a critical role in the company's receivable cycles. You will oversee the credit, collections, and accounts receivable operations, emphasizing efficiency, scalability, and strategic growth.
 
What You’ll Work On
• Select, manage, train, and develop staff. Establish objectives and assignments and provide ongoing feedback through performance reviews and development plans.
• Proactively manage client receivables, monitor risks, and engage directly with clients and key stakeholders to facilitate payment process.
• Review delinquent accounts, prepare monthly reports of high-risk accounts for executive leadership.
• Maintain compliance with bankruptcy proceedings.
• Perform analysis of credit and collection practices and develop process improvements.
• Analyze data trends within billing/collections to inform data-driven decisions and establish effective policies and procedures.
• Own key financial responsibilities including bad debt analysis, cash forecasting, and support financial statement close process.
• Monthly and Quarterly executive level reporting of cash, credit and collections and other related metrics.
• Foster a team culture focused on customer service, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and motivate the collections team to achieve targets.
• Ensure timely and accurate daily cash application and resolution.
• Manage account escalation process and maintain collaboration with stakeholders for resolution while mitigating risk.
• Manage and support internal and external audits.
 
What You Contribute
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field with 10+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 10+ years’ experience in Credit and Collections for US and international entities preferred
• 5+ years of people management experience in Accounts Receivable or related function with a similar company
• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role desired
• Strategic leadership capabilities preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities
• Self-motivated, flexible, and able to change priorities in a challenging fast-paced environment.
• Develop future leadership through individual development plans, succession planning and mentorship.
• Must possess capability of facilitating resolutions to issues related to cross functional operations
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in use of technology
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously.

Working Conditions
General office environment. Willingness and ability to work on site. Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 5 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.

Annual Base Salary Range:  $150,000 - $180,000 / year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
