Senior Manager Network Engineer - IT Infrastructure Operations
The Senior Manager Network Engineering – Global IT Infrastructure Operations will report to the Director – IT Infrastructure Operations and be part of the JCP Global Network Engineering & Operations team. This team is responsible for providing comprehensive network operations services worldwide, ensuring best-in-class support for both new and existing systems. In this global role, you will lead the network engineering team, providing strategic guidance, establishing global best practices, and implementing industry-standard support processes to ensure highly available networks. Additionally, you will mentor engineers across different regions, engaging in global projects to maintain operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Leads incident resolution and process improvement to minimize impact to the production environment for high impact incidents.
• Work closely with business partners, vendors and technical groups to clearly define requirements for network change implementations to ensure a smooth transition from development to production.
• Serves as a Subject Mater Expert (SME) and provide mentoring for the major technologies such as LAN/WAN/SDWAN etc to the team members.
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
• 10+ years of global experience as a managing sophisticated and dynamic networks
• Experience in route, switch technologies & securing large networks.
• Experience with Load Balancers, Firewalls
• Knowledge in Cloud Networking and Security
• Ability to articulate layer 2 and layer 3 frameworks and protocols ensuring consistent networks.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate designs to senior management.
• Experience in leading teams in Designs, configures, deploys, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots telecommunications and data network components of complex nature to provide a secure, high-performance network, including services for core LAN/WAN/SDWAN, QOS (Quality of Service), VLAN’s Virtual Local Area Network.
• Experience in a Nexus environment including 7000, 5000 , 2000 series devices, comfortable with VDC and VPC configurations and redundant path troubleshooting.
• Experience with Cisco and Checkpoint Firewall, including multiple contexts, HA pairs and Active-Active clustering and comfortable with both CLI and GUI.
• Significant experience with IPSEC and DMVPN.
