The Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives will play a central role across a range of innovation projects that enhance Visa Direct’s network footprint and capabilities. We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager who can navigate complex environments, develop key partnerships, and deliver in alignment with organisational goals. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who thrives in taking a leading role in high profile projects, in collaboration with a range of stakeholders across Visa and the broader financial system.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Contribute to the delivery of key global strategic initiatives to achieve organisational objectives.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance industry collaboration with central banks, commercial banks, and fintech partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives across Visa, as well as the broader financial ecosystem.
Identify and pursue opportunities for strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations that drive strategic growth.
Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of strategic projects. Inc. leading regular project review and governance forums.
Prepare and deliver creative and engaging executive presentations.
Manage external advisory and support teams.
Plan and deliver the team’s contribution to key external and internal conferences.
Prepare thought leadership analysis on the future of money, payments and innovation.
Contribute to a fun, productive and engaging team collaboration environment – ensuring Visa’s Leadership Principles are always front of mind.
Key Focus areas:
Global Money Movement: Enhance our global positioning in money movement and drive commercial value through public sector and private sector engagement and partnership.
Strategic Leadership: Apply payments, industry, and delivery expertise to lead the strategy, design, and implementation of high-profile strategic initiatives.
Proactive Execution: Act as a proactive self-starter leading high-profile internal and external projects, collaborating with senior stakeholders, and driving delivery and execution with teams and strategic partners.
Innovation and Diversification: Lead innovative projects to diversify core capabilities and address new market opportunities.
Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of high-profile initiatives, define and execute on external industry initiatives, partner with global teams and external advisors to mobilize new solutions, and drive acceleration initiatives.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience. Advanced Degree preferred.
A deep understanding of Visa’s Money Movement solutions and cross-border payments.
An awareness of, and interest in, the broader payments industry and financial sector inc. evolving trends in central banking, the regulatory environment, and financial technology.
Strong business acumen, with great intellectual agility and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, storytelling and interpersonal skills - both written and oral.
A dedicated team player, that is also self-motivated and able to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders of all levels of seniority.
Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
